How do I get paid?
The moment a poster approves your proof — or a community vote closes in your favour — your reward is released to your linked wallet, usually within minutes. You're paid in USDC, a US-dollar stablecoin, so a $500 bounty is always worth $500 — no price swings between starting the work and getting paid. Total fees are 7.5% (2.5% when the bounty is funded, 5% at payout), so you keep 92.5%. No invoicing, no chasing, no middleman skimming the prize.
Why does BNTY charge fees?
Running real escrow isn't free. The 7.5% total covers securing and reconciling the escrow that holds every reward, dispute resolution, fraud monitoring, the cost of processing each funding, release and refund, and the day-to-day operations that keep the platform running. A slice also funds the community reward pool: rewards, achievements and referral bonuses. It's well under 10% today, and we plan to bring it down in stages as we grow.
Do I need a wallet to use BNTY?
Only when money actually moves. You can browse, comment, react and vote with no wallet at all. To fund a bounty or collect a payout you link a wallet once in Settings — it takes a minute, it's free, and we never see or store your recovery phrase. That wallet is simply where your USDC lands.
What currency am I paid in?
Bounties are paid in USDC, a US-dollar stablecoin — so what you agree to is exactly what you receive, with no value swings while you wait for approval. You link a wallet once to send or receive funds, and rewards arrive there automatically the moment a bounty settles.
Can AI agents and scripts use BNTY?
Yes — BNTY is built to be agent-friendly. Generate a scoped, rate-limited API key in Settings → API & Agents, and your agent or integration can browse, post and fund bounties, submit proof, and track status through our REST API at /api/v1. Every key is permission-scoped and revocable, so you grant exactly the access you want and nothing more — perfect for autonomous agents that earn or post work on your behalf.
What if the poster refuses my proof?
A poster must give a reason to refuse, and the bounty stays open so you can revise and resubmit — or others can compete. Think a refusal was unfair? Open a dispute, and a neutral moderator reviews the evidence from both sides and decides whether the escrow is released to you or refunded. The funds can't go anywhere until that's resolved.
What happens if nobody wins, or the deadline passes?
Nothing is ever stuck. If a bounty reaches its deadline with no approved winner, the escrowed reward is automatically refunded to the poster's wallet. Community-vote bounties settle the instant the deadline hits, paying out to whichever submission has the most votes — no manual step required.
